Hot Dog

Not a shoes post today, partly because one can’t just wear shoes, and there are lots of lovely clothes to get excited about, and partly because I love this jumper so much that I want to tell everyone about it.

I love jumpers, proper knitted jumpers, and if there is something a bit interesting about them — a nice bit of fairisle here, a lovely little message there — so much the better. I found this jumper today as I was wandering round the shops at lunch time, and I very, very nearly bought it on the spot.

Oliver Bonas Hot dog jumper: £45

However, I am trying to watch my cash at the moment and really don’t need another black jumper, even one as charming as this. It’s not pure wool, which makes it easier to wash, but it has alpaca in it, which gives it a lovely fine knit and softness. It also has a little intarsia bone on the sleeve (very Bella Freud). I love it.

Being diagnosed with osteoarthritis didn't stop me loving shoes, so I've spent many years seeking shoes that weren't awful for my joints yet weren't awful on the eye. I have learnt that not all shoes are equal, and it is possible to wear amazing shoes while having arthritis (and other leg issues). I try out shoes so you don't have to.
