42% off Catherine Tough

It’s the hottest day of the year, a staggering 23°C in central London, which I realise may be perfectly normal for some people but in the UK this is definitely ‘run to the beach and panic-buy burgers to barbecue’ weather. So naturally, I am going to suggest you buy socks.

Catherine Tough, purveyor of excellent quality wool socks, have a staggering birthday 42% discount this weekend (until 23:59 on the 10th of April) with the code: BDAY17. It’s true that this is not the weather for cotton socks, never mind wool, but as my best friend Lisa (who now lives in California and probably can’t remember what wool is) often used to say, ‘ne’er cast a clout til May is out’, and she is right as the temperature is going to drop to a more normal 10°C tomorrow.

In my opinion, it’s worth stocking up on the wool socks for winter as they’re great (and make great presents). These sausage dogs are only £11.60, and they’re normally £20.

There are also cotton and bamboo socks, if you’re not convinced on the wool:

Catherine Tough also does wool homeware, if you’re really not sold on the socks idea at all; I absolutely adore this little rabbit egg cosy (a nice Easter present if you don’t want to add to the chocolate avalanche you know the kids will be getting). He’s super cute, and I reckon boys and girls would love him (though pop him on a creme egg if you’re an aunty or uncle — your prerogative is to be extra fun).

Being diagnosed with osteoarthritis didn't stop me loving shoes, so I've spent many years seeking shoes that weren't awful for my joints yet weren't awful on the eye. I have learnt that not all shoes are equal, and it is possible to wear amazing shoes while having arthritis (and other leg issues). I try out shoes so you don't have to.
